Discipleship and Servanthood
Sheila Massey

By this shall all men know ye are my disciples if ye have love one for another Jn.13:35 Love is the motive of service. It requires a daily dying. Dying to self is not self denial. It is, not having a will of my own. I see beautiful pictures in the Bible that I can equate with, being ready to do His will – Eze.1:4-17, 2 Sam. 15:14-15. Could we serve him so well that He would say of us too. “I no longer call you servants but friends” Jn. 15:14-15.Sadhu Sunder Singh said, “a tree that bears fruit always bends low”. The Master of all took the place and function of a slave. Phil.2. Showing us that a true disciple cannot bow himself too low. Shall we learn from the Master!

Discipleship and Personal Transformation
Sheila Massey

If any man will come after me …. Following Jesus has to be a deliberate choice. The cost has to be counted – Jesus asks a question, for which of you desiring to build a tower…. does not first sit down and count the cost Lk.14:28. It’s putting your hand to the plough and not looking back. Testing will come – you may even hear words like I heard when I took my complaints to the Lord, “if you have raced with men and have wearied what will you do when you race with horses” Jer.12:5. You have not struggled unto blood. Jesus never let his followers underestimate the strength of the enemy. Yet he assured them that rewards far outweigh the cost. Personal transformation is progressive and costly. It begins at conversion when the Spirit of God uses the word of God to convict a sinner and leads him/her to repentance. We can be as close to God as we choose to be. Obedience is the key. We will consider some factors that hinder progress of transformation.

Truth and Servanthood ( devotion )
Sheila Massey

Pilate asked Jesus, “What is truth?” Jn.18:38. In this study we will take the meaning of truth. The truth God has revealed, and some key Biblical passages that highlight purity of motive and true Servanthood. These passages will show us a pattern that Jesus followed.

Discipleship and Social Reformation
Sheila Massey

I believe personal transformation leads to social reformation. The truth sets a person free not only from sins bondages but from cultural and social bondages. I’d like to take two case studies and trace how conversion and discipleship led to the reformation of Tribes. Basic Bible school in Jowai, Meghalaya and it’s ripples and Nagaland.

Men and Women In Discipling Ministry
Sheila Massey

Jesus proportioned his life to those he wanted to train. The more concentrated the size of the group being taught the greater the opportunity for effective instruction. Jesus poured out himself into those he intended to use. One cannot transform a world except as individuals in the world are transformed. Individuals cannot be changed except as they are molded in the hands of the Master. I would like to share case studies of some women I have discipled, one who has opened up a country to the gospel, another who is now much sought after by the media and has won a national award and yet others who have poured out themselves into sons and daughters who in the coming days could well make a mark in the nation.
