Plenary:

The Entirety Of My Word Is Truth

God created mankind and all things perfect – but sin changed that. One consequence was that the perfect language originally created by God became imperfect. God’s Word is written by a perfect God and is perfect, but it is written and translated in languages corrupted by sin. Therefore the Holy Spirit of truth is vital for humans to fully understand the Word of God and move in the will of God. If humans read the Word without the Holy Spirit, they do not fully understand it. “ But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him”.1 Corinthians 2:14

There is an entirety of truth. Psalm 119:60. This has the effect that there is also partial truth. Partial truth is truth, so long as it is sen to be partial. When partial truth, is given greater weight than it really has or is extended too far, then it becomes untruth. Partial truth, expanded beyond its true extent, becomes untruth. This is a root cause of disputation within the church and among peoples and nations.

Examples provided of partial truth, which become untruth through imperfect reading and understanding of the Word. Illustrations and examples are provided from human actions and relationships rooted in human living and real life experiences in the Bible and church history ( past and present ). Please read carefully: Matthew 19:16-30; NKJV.

Know The Truth And The Truth Will Make You Free

The primary focus in this talk is on what Jesus said about the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of truth in John chapters 14-17. Here, Jesus refers to the Spirit of God as the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, as the One that “convicts” and as the “parakletos” ( comforter, Counsellor, Helper, Advocate, intercessor ).

" Stand therefore having girded your waist with truth" Ephesians 6:12."..rivers of living water will flow out of the belly" John 7:38; KJV. The question which Pilate asked ( What is truth? ) is examined in the light of John 14-17 and other parts of the Bible. There is a natural and a spiritual. 1 Corinthians15:46. There are natural truths and spiritual truths.

What is the relationship between wisdom and truth? Jesus does not mention “wisdom” in John chapters 14-17. The Old Testament refers consistently to “wisdom” and “understanding”. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of wisdom and revelation ( Ephesians 1:17 ) and the Spirit of wisdom and understanding ( Isaiah 11:2 ). The relationship between wisdom, understanding and truth. 1 Corinthians 2:4-16; 15:44-46. Solomon’s fate in his last years ( 1 Kings 1-11; 29-33 ) was the result of pursuing worldly wisdom without understanding ( truth )…

Illustrations and examples are provided from human actions and relationships rooted in human living and real life experiences in the Bible and church history ( past and present ). Please read carefully: John Chapters 14 to 17 ;NKJV to what Jesus says about the Spirit.
