	Back to Gallery		Old British Light house. On the left of the building is the Central Bank and this leads down to the President's Palace. This entire area is referred to as 'THE FORT' as it goes back to the Portuguese & Dutch period, and was walled in order to defend the city of Colombo from invading ships.
